A native Iowan, Julie has loved art and the outdoors since childhood.  She has been a shutterbug for a long time, a trait that her family knows well. Drawing and composing in multiple media throughout her life was a creative outlet.  These hobbies grew organically into Hunting the Moon Creative Studios, a place where imagination and art can thrive.

Regardless of the weather, Julie can be found outside hiking and playing with her dogs. making friends with the squirrels, or catching frogs in her lens. Every outing is an opportunity to use the environment and light to create and capture magic moments.
